Frequently asked questions.
Do I need an appointment?
In short, no! Appointments are not necessary, but you are always welcome to call and let us know you are coming or schedule a time so you do not have to wait.
Is there a charge?
No, never. We offer pregnancy tests, limited OB Ultrasound (sonograms), and many other resources at absolutely no cost to you.
What will my visit look like?
We have a couple staff members and many trained volunteers available and ready to assist you. When you arrive we will need to get some quick info from you. A TLPC team member will take you to an intake room where you can talk confidentially and ask questions, should you wish. We will have you take a urine pregnancy test and our registered nurse will read your results. Considering your LMP, a sonogram could be performed that day or you may be scheduled to come back in just a couple weeks. Proof of Pregnancy documentation can be provided pending a positive pregnancy test.
Can I bring a friend or family member with me?
Yes, we encourage you to utilize the support you have available in your life, and they are welcome to visit our center with you. We will need to speak with you separately for a brief time. It is up to you if you choose for them to be present after that. A waiting area is also available should you wish for privacy.
